About the image
Louis Comfort Tiffany.

These two men created the stunning mosaics that grace the Marquette Building’s lobby. Louis Tiffany was the son of Charles Tiffany, the famous jeweler. His career truly launched when he displayed his chapel mosaics at the 1893 World’s Fair. The works amazed audiences and launched an impressive array of Chicago commissions. Jacob Adolph Holzer was a Swiss artist who worked for Tiffany as their chief designer and art director, and he was responsible for the design and execution of the Marquette murals.
