Thus dubbed by the Daily Tribune, Dearborn Street was a highly desirable location.

Tall buildings loomed along its sidewalks, the world’s busiest train station was at the Polk intersection, and traffic was everywhere. When the Brooks brothers and Aldis selected investment properties, they snapped up Dearborn Street lots as quickly as possible.
